Treatment Help – Mrs Manju

Mrs. Manju Verma (46 yrs.) has been a project staff (Community coordinator) with our CHDP Dept. at the Harriet Benson Memorial Hospital, Lalitpur, UP since April 2017 along with her husband Mr. Santosh (Project Assistant). Prior to this they had been serving in the EHA unit at Lakhnandon from 2008 in same department.

Around mid February of this year we had referred her for a routine laparoscopic cholecystectomy at Kachhwa Christian Hospital, for chronic cholelithiasis (gallstones). The surgery was uneventful.

Unfortunately the biopsy report came as a malignancy of the gallbladder. This warranted urgent surgery to resect any further spread of the cancer and also need for chemotherapy.

The family after much deliberation chose to go to CMC Vellore for her further treatments.

At the beginning of this month she underwent her second surgery and has been started on chemotherapy as well.

Manju is a mother of 3 children: one daughter (and son-in-law) work with EHA, Kachhwa and another is a nurse in Landour. Her youngest, a son is in the 9th standard.

They have projected the total cost to be around 10 lakhs and have been requesting for any financial assistance possible.
