Assam Flood relief

Recent updates
The flood situation in Assam remained grim as seven more people, including two children, died in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 107 lives since April, of which 17 people have died in the landslides. More than 50 lakh people across 30 districts of Assam are affected in the current flood as of 24th June 2022.

There are severe shortage of Safe Drinking Water, Food & Non-Food items. People are left without shelter, and healthcare facilities are damage. Livelihood has been affected, road, railways lines and other infrastructures are badly damage.
EHA’s Disaster Management team is responding to the flood situation in Cachar district. We plan to distribute dry food ration, safe drinking water, dignity & hygiene kits to 1000 most affected families in the district. To conduct medical camps and health teaching in the villages and provide treatment and medicine through our hospital (Burrows Memorial Christian Hospital) to the sick and injured.
